Theres a hole in the exhaust just beyond the back box, i can see exhaust gas expelling from the hole.

Does anyone know if this could cause a loss in power as the car seems to be struggling to go smoothly (i.e its stuttering along)

Will a seem weld fix the problem temporarily whilst i get some funds together to get a brand new exhaust???

Help:dead:

Yes a hole in the exhaust can cause some small power loss or running probs . A weld or patch should solve the problem.
My exhaust cracked around the join on the back box & fell off. I got it welded back on & it has been going fine since. That was well over a year ago.

Right ive taken it to a local exhaust specialist and it turns out that it isnt the exhaust atall causing the problem, turns out the car is firing on 3 cylinders, it could possibly be Spark plugs, HT leads or a coil pack.

Not good whatever it is!

easiest thing to do is test them. loosen all the cylinders and then pull each one out to so which one it is. if it doesnt change then change your spark plugs before the ht leads as its more likly them.
