Excessive fuel consumption - Renault Clio RT 1400 (Model 1995)

  Clio RT - 1400
Hello,

Vehicle Type: Manual Renault Clio RT 1400.

I wanted to know why the last two weeks the car to an unusually high amount of fuel (about 1:8 instead of 1:11 as it was until today)?
Vehicle in my possession for almost 5 years - I know the consumption and checked by the rules. (Relaxed ride, and the distribution of gallons km).

I want to point out that the problem appeared, I noticed a column conversion is 10.5 rpm instead of 8 rpm when the engine is very hot (constant).

How can I check why Tory came alone?
I'd like help on.

Thank you!

Car drinks a lot of fuel.
Even when high rpm hot car (10.5 instead of 8).
What could be the reason?

I *believe* what the OP is attempting to say is the car uses fuel and has a warm idle speed of around 1050rpm rather than 800rpm.

There could be a number of things causing the problems you are having. Start simple with the coolant temp sensor and its associated wiring. Then move on to the pre-CAT HO2 sensor and leaks in the inlet track.

Do you have an AFR gauge in your car !? (if so why !?)

1:11 (fuel to air) is still rather rich IIRC (Mick?!) ?

It is winter now (assuming you live in the northern hemisphere) so with it being much colder, that will affect fuel consumption.

But despite a year that did not happen to me in the winter?
Maybe it's related to: Engine measures?
