I've been a member on here for quite a while now but I've never really done much with my own car but now with big insurance drops i can start to tinker with my car abit.


Im taking the car to Germany on Wednesday so I'll get to have abit fun on the Autobahn and the Nurbergring when the summer arrives. It's pretty standard at the moment but with the Nurbergring in mind I'll be starting to get the spanners back out and make some changes.

Decided to give the car a good pre-trip clean

Interior trim sticker bombed a while ago when I was trialing afew ideas and used it as a test piece to see if I got sick of it and as it happens I quite like it.

Cleaned up the exhaust with brasso (£80 for the full cat back)

Ready for the roads-

Over the last 3 weeks its been serviced with oil and filters and a new alternator with belts and Continental LHD headlights (courtesy of ShandyRuss)


New wheels very shortly.

How come your insurance has dropped? Age/NCB?

Yeah a mix of both mate, when I initially started driving I was paying £3400 TPT&F on an Old 306, this year I got my renewal back at £900 with 3 yr NCB and I'm 22, what I save on insurance I can put back into the car. So now I have an extra 2500 in my pocket compared to this time 3 year ago haha.
