Engine mounts

  Clio 172
Hi peeps, I have a knocking when i lift off the accelerator and sounds like a gremlin knocking at my passenger foot well wanting to get in! I've checked the O/S mount and apparently its fucked as it wobbles, its still secure but anyway i have checked the dog-bone mount underneath too and that looks ok (not that i can move it anyway) and i haven't been able to check the gearbox mount just yet, however the knocking seems to be coming from the N/S when driving.

Renaultpartsdirect seem to have 4 options of engine mount, so i just wanted clarification as to how many there actually are and whether i should just change all of them at once regardless of condition of any good ones?

http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-172-Engine-Mount.html - just states 'engine mount'
http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-172-Engine-Mount-(O{47}S).html - states 'O/S'
http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-172-Engine-Mount-(N{47}S).html - states 'N/S'
http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-172-Engine-Mount-(Rear).html - states 'rear'

I thought there was only 3!?
thanks in advance

4 is correct

The 1st link is your bottom gearbox mount on N/S

2nd link is O/S engine mount, visible next to cambelt cover

3rd link is N/S mount which is located under your battery

4th link is your dogbone mount

That dog bone mount is the wrong one for a ph2 172 you'll need a twisted dog bone mount, (I assume your avatar is of your car)
also you can't tell if your dog bone is knackered by looking at it and it will be the dog bone that's knackered, the footwell is a dead give away,
i'm not saying your engine & gearbox mounts aren't f*cked aswel, but before you shell out a load of money on new parts,
i'd spend £40 quid on powerfelx bushes for your existing dogbone as that will more than likely solve the problem.
