Engine Cleaning

Hi Guys

Have a look at the following picture of my engine bay. (And yes it is standard)

Can anyone tell me how to get these horrible oily marks off the top of the engine? They were left there when Renault had the car in for its first service!

Any ideas on price and where from? You should have seen it before I tried to clean the thing it was a complete mess and it looked like there was blood on the top as though someone had cut their hand :S .

Never even bothered to clean it off or wipe off the excess oil just shoved the bonnet down and gave me the car back.
