Dyno question...

  Flame Red (172)
mates,

it mihgt be a silly one but, how possible to get wrong readings on the dyno, if the lambda sensor is disconnected?....

cheers

Surely the engine wouldn't run right with that disconnected???

thANKX mate for the answer....i was worried about the performance of the car cause after installing the new camshaft, Piston, manifold and decat, i was sure to get more then 195hp after calibration, but i'm only getting 171hp !!!! on the dyno.....i noticed that the lambda sensor was disconnected...let me try to put it on dyno again with the sensor fitted...

cheers

  53 Clio's & counting
No it shouldnt affect it, as it doesnt read lambda on full throttle iirc
(unless im pissed)

  Black Clio GT
it would run under power if the exhaust sensors are faulty though??
but make sure its timed correctly if you have fitted new cams etc, also check the coil/plugs.........
