I'm buying a new car Saturday (hopefully), and have a question.

Say i currently have my Clio insured with Norwich Union (for example), and want to insure my new car with Direct line at the same time, can i cliam my no claims discounts on both vehicles at the same time?

I remember reading somewhere before that you cant insure 2 cars on different policies, and get your no cliams on both.

Anyone know for sure?

No.

You can add the second vehicle to the NU policy temporarily and usually free as well.

Indeed, illegal to hold two policies simultaneously...for what reason I have no clue.
