Drove a MK1 1.2 8V yesterday lol

Not dissing the car but tbh it was sooo slow compared to my 1.2 16v. I know his is an N reg and mine is a 51. But omg. his had a full exhaust system on it, no air filter lol. So i was booting it about and it just feels so slow, there was no rev counter and the speedo was broken, but i was relly giving it some. made me really apreciate my little s**t machine !!

hey watct it lol them little 1.2 8v i had 110 out of my old one, scary belive, down a big hill on the m60
my speedo always used to bounce aswell, i was going 30 the needle would bounce 28-32
funny them old cars

lol it neva ran right after that
tapets went mental but still went for another 9 month or so,
only ever got it up to 80 tho after that

lol i hate the 8v ones, they dont get faster up the revs there just always slow, although i like the cable throttle on them lol.

my wee 1200 is a quick one compaired to other ones, once u get it going its not bad but trying to get it there is poor even when its got no seats etc in it lol.

i dont mind driving mine ever after driving my 172
