My car failed it’s MOT due to a failing drivers side driveshaft. The garage found it difficult to get hold of a driveshaft, however a few days later it was fixed.
Having a poke about underneath the car tonight as it’s been feeling slightly loose/wallet at the front end I noticed the new driveshaft looks nothing like the last one (which was a genuine renault one). It doesn’t have the centre bearing or the support bracket.
My question is, has anyone used/seen this type of driveshaft before ? Could it be the cause of the slightly woolly feeling from the car?
I’ve enclosed some images if the driveshaft
