Door adjustment

problem is drivers side door sometimes doesnt open ..... feels jammed, but with a little bit of pressure on door it will open ok.

how to realign the door? bear in mind i dont work on cars for a living etc :p

undo the torx bolts (a few turns) on the striker plate on the b pillar which will give you a little bit if adjustment. also lubricate the door mechanism.

carnt take it bck to dealer as its out of warantee and they want about £20 just to LOOK at it.

It means where the door attaches to the car when you slam it shut there is two bolts with star looking bolts on it. Undo them and you can slide the pin the door closes on a little bit. Retighten the bolts and then try it.

there is a gold bracket on the b pillar (the same pillar your seatbelts on). it is on the b pillar about halfway up on the part that the door covers up when shut.it is held in place by two torx screws (star shape looking things). slacken the torx bolts off and the bracket can be moved in or out and up or down. i would probably move yours out a bit and try it. id post a pic but ive no digi cam at the mo.
