Does this actually work?

  Trophy #267
possibly, but i doubt it fully optimises any system as it works with several models and seems a generic cheap n nasty fix, go buy a group n ecu or go get a decent remap done by sum1 like pmurray or bellautos

Itb will work and give you more power. Its not as agood as a full remap but it cna be disconnected and sold on. There is no group N maps for the dci's as group N means almost standard its meant as mapping for race cars which are allowed to have exhaust and induction work which need a bit more fuel to ensure the engine runs safely its by no means the best mapping.

Have a look here for cheap tunning boxes I've never heard anything bad said about his stuff and its some of the cheapest you can buy. http://www.mrhoot.com/

It looks like the one there selling just ups the pressure in the fuel rail which IMO isn't the thing you want to do you want to do. The system is already at high pressure of 1400 bar or so and pushing it any more isn't a good idea people have pushed them to 2000 bar though but how long they last is unknown. When Renault pushed the 100 dci system up to 1600 bar they used a new fuel pump and injectors.
