Do i need to jack up engine to remove top engine mount?

Its the large chunk of metal that has 2 bolts on the top on the engine on the left hand side and connects in to the left hand side of the engine bay. I'm sure you know what I'm on about.

Taking it off to paint it as it and the plenum and fuel rail guard are going matt black.

So do i need to jack up the engine to support the weight while its off. If so where do I jack?

It has more than 2 bolts iirc think its 3-4..

No dont jack the engine up, just support it with a jack and a wooden block.

Undo the bolts and you can remove it,

my advice would be to stick a trolley jack, preferably with a rubber saddle, underneath the sump on the same side as the mount. Just gently take the strain off the mount and then undo and remove. Remember the engine mount bolts require specific torque, so a torque wrench is preferable.
