do i need 2 sets of RCA leads?

  Ph1 172 + Combo van
at the moment i have a two channel amp bridged into one channel for my sub, im going to get a 3 channel amp which will run my front components and my sub all together, on my headunit the rca leads are plugged into the rear preamp output so if i only have one amp how will i be able to set the hi, low and mid on the components? and then different on the sub?

or do i need two sets of rca's running from the outputs on the headunit to the amp to make the seperate channels fine tunable?

if its a 3 channel amp youll have 2 sets of rca input so you will need 2 rca's (provided your hu has more than 1 pre-out)
