DIY induction kit

  BG Clio 182 FF
Morning all,

Just fitted my DIY, ktr-style induction kit.

Seriously impressed by the noise. Quick question - worth removing the acoustic valve or just leave it on?

Done exactly the same last week only difference is I used a ram air filter. Your right though the noise is superb!

Definitely remove the acoustic valve, only takes 5 minutes.

Your air filter is an " open filter " now . Why remove the acoustic valve ? It's not linked to your air box anymore so will make no difference whatsoever .

Just thinking about airflow. Guess since as it serves no purpose it's best to get it out of there.

Looks good! Have you got a shopping list for the parts you bought and used, fancy doing it myself cheers

I made a quick setup earlier in the year a day before a trackday, then ended up leaving it like it.

This was my shopping list:

Everything from ebay :)

Two of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silicone-9...item2c71a08a73

Three of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/70mm-90mm-...item27b98d4e4c

Two of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alloy-hose...item255f8beb16

One of these:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Air-B...item2c71a8bff2

and a cone filter.

I used this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pipercross...item19e50bd3a3

But there are cheaper filters out there. Look for one with a 70mm neck.

Thanks very much! Never understand why people pay so much money for essentially something that can be easily made by yourself, I'm sure a similar induction kit from ktec costs a small wedge!

Where you as impressed as others on here with the noise gains? Haha
