The pub,formerly known as The Trent Navigation and The Navigation Inn, takes its namefrom Trent Lock. As well as marking the point where the River Trent and RiverSoar meet with the beginning of the Erewash canal, the lock sits on the borderof three counties: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
