DCi Owners Quick Question

I have just bought a slightly damaged 2004 Clio 1.5DCi 100 model. With the key in the ignition and going to try and start there is a steering wheel illuminated on the rev counter. I have no owners manual so am stuck as to what this is. Anyone shed some light - will it go off when the engine starts or do I have a little problem!!

Power steering error? How much did you get it for and how badly damaged is it?

Would that be on as the engine isnt running then?
Theres no fuel in it so will be filling it up tonight

Got it for a fair price, front end damage CatD but nothing major apart for a few broken / dented bits

it will stay on untill engine started.

It should go off within a couple of seconds when you turn the engine on

Yep its on all clios with electric powered steering. Goes off after its started
