My home wifi is crap so I try to iCloud the phone and it crashes.

Is there a none wifi app I can use to transfer my contacts etc and then download on my new phone. Failing that will get my pen out lol.

iPhone 5s to iPhone 7 btw

No just thought i'd make a random thread.

I was curious if there was a data transfer app as it would be easier to do it at home later. ITunes it is then

I hate iTunes so good luck with it lol.

Personally I'd rather drive to some free wifi to do it.

Right what am I doing wrong.

First off I'm not on the latest iOS 10.

I have set my iCloud account up, backed up my phone, checked on the computer at work and nothing is saved. Checked on the phone and it does say it was backed up.

Does it have to be running the latest ios10?

The stuff won't magically go from your iCloud to iTunes?

Plug your 5s into iTunes, back it up.
Unplug it.
Plug iPhone 7 into iTunes then restore it from the back up you just made of the 5s.

Or if not using iTunes.

Back up iPhone 5s to he cloud

Restore iPhone 7 to factory settings.

Then part of the first switch on procedure for the iPhone 7 it will ask you to sign into your iCloud.

Sign in using the same one you backed up your 5s too.

It should then ask you if you want to use that back up or set up as a new phone.

Chose the 5s one then bam your iPhone 7 will have everything your 5s has on it.

If you want everything to transfer over then it's better to do it on iTunes as it will probably be more data than what iCloud allows, unless you pay for more storage that is.

I would also recommend updating to iOS 10, can't make it any worse anyway.
