CV Joints cost.

Hi,

Been informed that my cluncky 172 cup needs it's CV joints replaced. have been quoted £300 for the job, and was told they would send them off to be machined or something, as new Renault parts would be too costly. Is the Cup any different from normal 03 172's. And does this sound right?

The difference is abs rings, maybe they mean send them off to get reconditioned? Personally I'd buy new from renault as most will tell you on the forum.
