cusco kids teflon wax

  106 GTi
I am dubious to ask Cusco Kid questions on this product as I normally get abuse, you mention it being used in paintshop, is it really bodyshop safe?

Most wax/silicon based products are not certified safe for use in that enviroment.

Have read through the data sheets and could not see any info or if it is or not ?

  Better than yours. C*nt.
I don't use silicon-based products on my car, and I don't use silicon-replacement products on my car either.

Sorry, but it's a bigger no now I know what it is. I use P21S at the moment and on Rich's recommendation I will be using Swissvax Onyx next time I buy as they're designed to be used on cars...

As far as I can see Interflon has nothing to do with DuPont other than the fact that they use DuPont's Teflon in a product designed for industrial saw mills and print shops!!!!

I don't know why Cusco Kid wouldn't just say "I'm selling Interflon's Wax Spray + Teflon" it'd have saved him a whole lot of grief!!!

no you are wrong m8 it was not developed for print shops and saw mills it was designed as a car polish first then it was discovered it had many other applications. like a lot of other products have been dev/ for a certain use and was found to have other qualities.// do you like to rubbish other polishes that you have not even tried out. i have not at any point degraded any other polish on this site and never would but many of you have. this is unfair considering you havent even tried it .some of you are very cutting with your comments but i will let the product speak for its self:D

Why would a company that specialises in industrial lubricants decide to make a car wax and then think, hang on, this might be good on the blades in a saw mill!?!?!?

looks like a good product for ease of use and to quickly wax the car but,

ive seen much better results from other waxes which appear to give more shine and reflection than the teflon wax.

sorry cusco!!
A yellow car isn't the best to show reflections in photos... blue or black is better and anyway, it all depends on the time of day, position of the sun etc etc as to how good a reflected photo you get so don't judge Cusco Kid's polish by a photo of a yellow car! I have cleaned my car with it and after a couple of days of wet driving, a quick skooshie with the hose pipe and the dirt washed off easily.

Don't sl@g it off unless you have tried it yourself first! :nono:

Not sure about that stuff, the top wax has cleansers in it which doesn't sound ideal.

I remember I had some shampoo with Teflon in a year or so ago, it worked well but the effects didn't seem that great. However, using an entirely Teflon system may have more of an effect. As someone who does marketing, I would say they have tried to use Teflon as their unique selling point, as it repels dirt and water. But that is what all sealants and waxes are designed to do anyway!

Teflon obviously has its applications, but until I hear of a review of someone I know knows their stuff, or use it myself, I am still sceptical. Would be a fun company to some marketing for. Would be a pleasure to work with Geo with him in sales! :D Sorry Geo not stoking the fire, just kidding.

Hey guys here are some pics of my car. Since it was washed originally with the teflon wax it has been to crail and edinburgh 5 times. There are currently roadworks and the roads are filthy with red dust. When cleaning the car the other day i noticed even with just the pressure washer the dirt came off really easy. I would still reccommend the car be washed fully not just with a pressure washer but it means if you don't have much time and you just want it to look a little bit cleaner for a few more days the wax really helps. I must admit i have not tried it on the windows but i am advised that it works much like rainx. The pictures of the car are after it has been cleaned with a pressure washer and sponge a couple of days previously. It has rained today and i can tell from the beads of rain on the car that the wax is really helping to repell water. Usually the car is filthy within a couple of days so the wax must be working. I reccomend anyone who is interested try a can, there is really nothing to lose as it isn't as expensive as other car care products and doesn't damage your car in any way. If you don't find it works just don't buy it again. Any questions let me know. I applied it to my car on a cloth not directly sprayed on. It seems to bond well and doesnt take very long to do a panel.

i'll happily try some of this.

I know how effective ptfe is as a non stick surface / solid lubricant and work with oils and protector fluids all day everyday and can see the appeal of this.

lol at the constant digs.

You're suprised Geo is getting a bit annoyed with some people??

All you do is dig at him for not jumping through hoops. I'm sure there are better places to spend time advertising and thus any salesman would know how to prioritise.

I think things have just got a little personal rather than just sitting back and letting things fold out.

If I was into making my windscreen like a mirror I'd be up for that can of wax, that 182 looks dazzling, but then again I am known for driving through the dirt and crap like that, so perhaps it's best to stick to a subtle colour.

Not entirely true, the reason so many people were annoyed or bemused at Geo's attitude was that he failed to answer questions on the product, despite being asked several times, and started being a bit obnoxious back to his potential customers. Not saying he wasn't provoked, but as a salesman not exactly the way to gain orders.

You are trying to sell your product though man, which kind of does make you a salesman. I agree a few people seem to try and wind you up on purpose now, just don't rise to it I suggest.

There seems to be a use for your product, I would guess for people who care about their car but may not necessarily have the time to do the full process. I would aim at selling your wax to these people, and you could probably do pretty well for yourself.
