Cup friendly Mot centres Fife

Hi I have recently got a 172 cup to be used as a weekend/track day car. Looking through the history of the car I noticed that it has had issues with most of the MOT's regarding the rear brakes, my research has shown this is a common issue at mot time.
It needs to be MOT'd now so just wondered if anyone knew of any mot centres in Fife that have experience with this just in case there are any issues.

I thought that also but after asking a few mot centres they had no idea.
I have got the VOSA letter just in case.

I am in Cupar.

Why not just contest the result of they fail you? You can actually ask VOSA to step in and over rule the testers decision but they do have to record some kind of balanced rear brake effort.

As soon as they enter the cars registration in the information on the bias should come up. All Cups' VIN numbers relate to vosas info.

The brakes do actually have to work but the MOT testers have to take into account the way the cup's rear brakes are setup before failing the car. That's basically what the vosa document is saying. Even a completely sorted rear brake setup on a cup isn't going to show an impressive reading hence the need for the vosa document when the cars first started having MOT's. It doesn't mean they have to pass wanked brakes however.

I took it to Mercury in the end. Brakes went through no problems. Would recomend them and will definitely get it tested there again
