cheers richy, the SFX4 is a sealant:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/sonus-sfx-4-paint-sealant/prod_582.html

its polycharged as well so its got good durabilty - one cost lasted about two months IIRC. nice and easy to apply (in fact, i prefer liquid sealants now to paste waxes largely because they are easier to use) i use these to apply various sealants (SFX4, Duragloss # 105 and Zaino Z2)

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/sonus-der-wunder-applicators-pkg/2/prod_136.html

my cars got a couple of coats of the Duragloss # 105 on it with Duragloss 951 aquawax used after washing atm, and it looks glossier than SFX4 IMO:

i like the finish kare QD (# 425), easy to use, smells nice as well. works well on glass (does'nt do any harm to the carlack sealant on my windows either)
not very keen on the CG new car scent TBH - very strong, ive got a few of the tropicare ones (strawberry cream, tropical and bing cherry) which are much better and not too strong as well :)

Cool, interesting about your wax point.

don't get me wrong, i like using waxes (ive got collinite 915, FK1000p - which i use on wheels and some dodo panel pots) just find sealants easier to get nice and thin and from a speed of use point of view - better too

My next purchase from cyc is actually some fk1000 and some sinus applicators. I'm just putting it off as I find other (probably useless!) things to add in the basket too :(

Sonus will be for sealants (ex-p, wet mirror finish) I like using my hands with blue velvet at the mo :)

ive found the ultimate german applicators work very well with FK1000p, they need washing after each use really though as they can clog up with wax quickly otherwise

The foam applicators get the same though... I just use mine a few times and bin it as I have never been able to clean them up that well?? Or am I just being thick??!

Agreed reading through some of those, nice one Kev :) Nice to have another DW'er in our midst. I haven't been on properly in ages!

how do you clean them? after using them i use a blob of washing up liquid, rub it in well and rinse thoroughly. then leave to dry naturally, works for me. there might be a 'stain' on the applicator (particually if your using a coloured wax like a dodo juice one) but all the product will be washed out

Tried the above today and it worked :) thank you :)

used to soak them in MF wash but it didn't do s**t. Now they feel all "foamy" again and not hard like before :)
