Cost for change of exhaust on insurance policy?

Just out of interest what was the cost of adding an aftermarket exhaust to there policy, I had a frankly ludicrous quote earlier, so I want to know if its just my insurer?

Some companies like HIC just charge an administration charge of £35 which even so is a bit OTT...others will charge you more!!! I was once charged £120 extra when I fitted an air filter & stainless exhaust to one of my first cars!!!

Try and do a load of modifications at once that way they dont need to charge the admin fee all the time!!

So my quote of £211 is faintly ridiculous! I may ring up again tomorrow to check it wasn't my hearing.

Perhaps time to change to a more 'mod friendly' Insurer.
