Corroding Wheel nuts

Only had my new wheels 2 weeks and already it looks like the shiney type finish on the nuts are starting to corrode. I got some nuts with the wheels which I haven't used as they appear 'dirty' where the finish has corroded away. Is there anything I can put on the nuts to stop this happening?

i cleaned my old bolts using cilit bang, works a treat untill it rained and they started to rust lol, good job it was a spare set

find someone with a bench polisher and polish them up

i just paint them black, its easier

yer my richbrrok dust caps did this so i got some meguires nxt metal polist and a dremel , took a while but they look like new now
