Connecting a desktop to wireless network?

So I want to connect my Mrs desktop to the wireless network in the house, it isnt wireless enabled to what do I need to buy? Might seem a stupid question but my computer knowledge is very limited lol

Something like this will get you a good result! You will need a spare PCI slot, double check this. If you have no idea what i'm talking about just say, lol.

How far away is the Desktop from the Wireless router, can't you connect it directly?

I know what you mean, I loved working on computers until about 6 years ago. So I have a bit of knowledge but know sweet FA about wireless stuff lol. Might get the USB one, no taking anything apart would be a bonus lol

Cant connect directly, computer in spare room, router in living room lol

Go for the USB then, Disable the LAN Card. Connect with the USB Wireless dongle, sorted.

My advice would be to install the driver only and let Windows manage the wireless connectivity. Most software that comes with this kind of product is a pain in the ass and a bit OTT.
