clio v6 on top gear

as stated earlier, the clio v6 had a lap time of 1 min 36 somehting round the top gear test track, beating the civic type R at 1min 37 something, can any one hazard a guess what the 172/cup would do round the track.... it beats the v6 in a 0 to 100 to 0 test, would it whip its big brother round the track!!!!

Didnt the v6 go out in bad weather? I reckon it would pull a better gap on the Type R otherwise. A cup wouldnt be quicker than the new v6, but probably would beat the old v6 round that track.

It was pissing down when the V6 255 went out and they recon its a difference of about 4seconds per lap.
