Clio MK3 1.5 dci will not start

I purchased a second hand engine

After fitting it to my car the car will not start and makes a clicking noise (see video below)

I am able with the gearbox housing disconnected turn the engine manually, but as soon as I fit the gearbox housing to the engine I am unable to do so.

Also the starter motor works when off the car but as soon as I fit it to the car it does not appear to be working.

The battery is fully charged

Any help will be much appreciated

try cleaning up the gearbox earth, other than that try get it on to some diagnostics.
