just looking to buy the full cambelt kit along with the aux belt kit. i belive the total price is around 140 quid. Just wondering what sort of price the trade buy these kits for. Reason i ask is id like to know if my local garage has just done my old man out of a few quid. Charged him 6 hours labour (fair enough) but 200 quid for parts!!! Surely a garage wouldnt pay what i would pay for parts?? would they??

Think trade price is only about 10% off.
Thats the way it is garages get the bits cheaper but on the other hand they have to go run round pick them up and pay for them in advance/keep them in stock so there all costs involved which have to be passed on.
The cambelt kit doens't come complete as you also need the cam seals and aux belt kit to do the cambelt change properly.

just bought my cambelt kit off gdi..... cost me £122.....
they dont seem 2 do aux belt kit.... and k-tec seem 2 only stock the aux belt for the cup.....
renault today quoted me £47 for the aux belt kit...
not sure if that is gud or not......
i would of thought it aint a bad price

There not much and they have been mentioned in recient threads on the subject.
There 3 aux belt kits infact 2 for the cup ie air con and normal and the 172 one form memory.
It doesn't come in the kit becuase err no define idea the kit is used on other cars so mostl likly they have different requirments no point supply a kit with unused bit.
belt itself is only cheap though.
