Clio 172 new conrod

Hi all
I've not been on here long, i joined up as i was interested in getting some info for a few bits on my 172 which i bought with a broken engine :-( and green from all the mould lol.
my mate (qualified mechanic has stripped down the engine, i had another garage sort out the cam belt for me and timing set up etc,
engine is being rebuilt this weekend so should be going perfectly after new con rod installed,
The car itself is a mk2 phase 1 clio 172 on a Y reg (2001) and has only covered 32483 miles , she has just had the cam belt done on her all new gaskets and seals once complete!
will give her a big clean up!!
and she should be looking sexy!!

I was just testing the water to see if anyone would be interested in buying her she needs some minor cosmetic work doing to her, i will upload pics once i take some

Should conrods not be changed in sets???? Or doesnt it matter as long as theyre all from the same manufacturer???

they did use the renault tools a mechanic at the garage i use is an ex renault mechaninc!

um as far as i no you can change just one conrod with out having to change the others but im not 100%
