Cleaning/Polishing DownPipes.

Hi Guys,

Looking to tart up the exhaust down pipes on my bike, they're by no means bad as it's never been out in the wet but naturally they're right in the firing line of any sh*t.... any ideas?

I've heard using a light grit paper will work or wire wool?

I've tryed a hard polish which did sweet FA. - Can get pics if required?

Cheers guys,

Autosol and wire wool does the trick, although I normally just degrease my downpipes to get the s**t off and leave it like that.

I used autofinesse mercury and wire wool on my SV and worked well. If they're not too bad try any metal polish and a green scouring sponge from the kitchen sink. Did the trick when I ran out of wire wool

Cheers for the advice chaps

I cleaned them off with some wire wool

Then polished them up with some metal cream from my father in laws chemical company

Bloody good stuff and a lot better than the autosol I tried before !
