Cleaning Advice!

  172 Exclusive #114
Right guys, I need help! (But that's another matter...)

I want to know, start to finish, what to use, and the best way to clean my car.

Before I've followed this: Rinse, Wash using generic brand shampoo, then Squeegee using one of those rubber blades, and it always looks awful afterwards.

Now I've finally got a car I'm proud of, I want to make sure it looks good!

Thanks!

you need to get yourself some bits and bobs mate.

lambs wool wash mitt, water magnet (meguairs) for drying. and if you are into polishing waxing.. try AutoGlym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection

These are all available from halfords, or if you want to order online, there are much better products..

and get some microfibre pads and towels to apply/remove the polish and wax

Sounds like a good polish is in order to restore some luster

In Brief.

Wash - Decent car shampoo and two bucket method (read above link)
Dry - Microfiber Drying Towel
Clay - Meguiars Quick clay is fine for an off the shelf product
Polish - Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Seal - Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection

That lot once every 3 - 6 months will have you paintwork looking really nice. Maintain in between with a weeky wash and a good Quick Detail Spray to maintain looks.
