changing drums to discs

  1.6 16v clio priv
Hi both my rear brakes are fooked. Theyre drums.
I really hate drums, the look and the squeel they make.
Been thinking of changing the rear brakes to discs for a while so now I wanna do it.
I've heard that all clios have a universal rear axel and if i swap that and all attatched will be easiest. ie with a 182 or dynamique.
Could anyone outline this in more detail for me. May get my cousine to do it who is a mechanic but I like doing stuff myself.

Also any idea of the cost.

do-able, but you need a whole new rear beam as far as i am aware. Fairly big and costly job to be fair.
I'd just service the drums. Clio braking systems are all mega front-biased anyway
