Changing clutch - job for local garage?

My mate has a 182 which could benefit from a clutch change. There's a decent local garage nearby and he's wondering whether to take it there or use a specialist for it.

I'm basically wondering if there's anything that can be cocked up by a non-specialist not knowing something or any comming things that don't get refitted correctly or anything like that. You know what I mean!

Also, has anyone had one done by Birchdown and could give a rough price before we phone up? Or recommend anywhere in the North West? Cheers.

Yep, shouldn't be many issues with a regular garage.

I would use a specialist though, just because they'll know what they're doing so the labour time will be quicker.

~£450 inc parts is fair for the job.
