Changing 5th gear

Is changing 5th gear on it's own fairly easy on the JB/JC boxes?

And if so is there any difference between the parts on the JB and JC 5th?

Any guidance, tips on how to? What holds the gear on? End casing comes off to reveal it I guess, is there a gasket or sealant for refitting the casing?

Which 5 th gear are you potentially swapping to ph1 tom?

That's what you'll see when you take the end casing off. You need to drop the gearbox slightly as you can't get the end casing off past the chassis leg.

You need a couple of decent pry bars and a decent drift to get a roll pin out.

TBH once you get the end casing off and see it in front of you, you should be able to work it out. Just set yourself a day to do it but I'm a mechanic by trade and had a ramp to hand including all the tools so only took about 2 hours :)
