Ceramic wheelbearings?

  dan's cast offs.
i looked into them when i put forged wheels on the bike...bloody expensive to say the least, hate to think how much a decent sized one would be!!

doubt they would even be worth using on the front unless it's an out and out competition car and you're loaded:wink:

Seen a few people using them in Motorsport applications, we've never bothered as the benefit is negligible in real terms. The bearings are also hideously expensive and useless when it comes to impact loading (kerb on a race track). You can get hybrid bearings with some ceramic bits and some metallic hits for different properties and prices.

Put simply, for f1 or something of the sort they may be worth it, for anyone else with more sense than money, they're not worth it.
