cat gone

Has anybody else had to replace their cat on their 172 MKII?

Mines a 51 plate - 51k - and its just gone - hold in the bend so no chance of welding it - Been advised it could be due to the ard suspension and week engine mounts - 400 smackers gutted! - just replaced the whole cat back system 6 weeks ago for a stainless steel one and thought that would be it for a few years - all in all nearly a grand for the complete system -

IIRC it doesnt have to have a CAT to pass? It just has to pass emissions?

Ive just seen some pigs flying so hell pass the emissions. But yes Roy you only have to pass emissions there is no physical check for a cat on an MOT.
