Castrol Oil SAE 75w-90 api GL-5 ???

Hi

Just a quick one, is Castrol Oil SAE 75w-90 api GL-5 suitable for 172 FF gearbox? I can get some very cheap so hope so!

75/90 is perfectly acceptable. Youll need 3.5 litres IIRC. Personally i prefer 75/80 as its alot smoother on gear changes. 75/90 takes a bit of warming up for its smoother operation.
