hi there seem to have a problem on my 182 back left side, everytime i go over a bump (normally speed bump) at normal speed there seems to be like a pop coming from that side havent got a clue what it is but with 2 or more people in the car its really bad ie the more weight in the car the worse it gets, and its like a real bang any ideas people :dapprove:

Forget repairing the dampers if thats the problem new ones are ££50 and idealy you should replace both sides as once.

Stupid forum made me post it three time if a page doens't load I just hit refresh and it sends the post all again.

Take the rear wheel of see if the dampers covered in oil if it is then its gone.

If your cars under warently its done for free common failure on the 182's

Take the damper off if you want one two bolts one holding it to the suspension arm under the car (17mm bolt 110Nm tigthened from memory) and one nut under the rubber cover in the boot. push the damper down if it doesn't come up again then its most likly shot.

If it is the damper failed the worst thing that will happen is the rear of the car will fella bit wierd the but it cannot damage the damper any more.
