Cambelt change due help needed

My car has done 59000 and is an 05 plate so is over due a cambelt change but I live in the middle of nowhere (Haverford west West Wales). I was wondering where is the nearest/best place to get it done as there are so many horror stories about local garages and how much Renault want.

Just go to specialist on here mate, alot of them do pick up service or if you feel brave Drive to one!!! Get it done tho as mine went yesterday n it's alot of money n hassle so please do it before it's to late

I went to have a look at a 182 at a main dealer last week that was due a cambelt and they quoted my £590 for a cambelt change, so that £790 seems a bit steep. Unless thats cambelt, auxilary belt and de phaser pulley aswell?

Right Cam belt and aux belt done by Wayne as recomended above great guy ex renault mechanic even adjusted my gearlinkage for free as he thought it didn't "feel right". Recomend him to anyone living in the south wales area.

nope, unless it was a special, it wont have been the full kit, which includes pulleys/aux belt. Renault have been known to just do the belt and not the rest...........!

Dealers know sweet fa about the RS range, lookers chester serviced mine @ 18k when in for some climate warranty work. It was done at 12! Normal clios have 18k service intervals.

its a bit of a treck for you j9 m6 , Davo172 told me about these, as im in the same boat, they have quoted me £200 for fitting and about the same for cambelt kit and aux kit. im going to get the water pump changed at the same time, does anybody recommend anything else being changed?

I have had my whole RS 197 Cam Belt Kit changed and water pump at Total Control Racing. Also recommended by Davo172. They did a great job A++++++
