burning dvd's?

what dvd/discs do i need to burn films onto discs to play on my dvd player,
i have some dvd + rw's which are 120 minutes long, although the thing i want to copy is 133 minutes long, but it says select a slower recording speed, (how do i do this please?) my dvd's have extended play time on them upto 240 minutes, so i presume these are right?

ps. i'm using windows media player btw

i've never had a problem with ritek dvd-r discs

i'm not sure how you do it WMP so i'm no help on that sorry

use somet like nero , -r media is prolly most widely used, if it wont fit u`ll need to encode the dvd to a lower rate.

Most of the older dvd players will only play -r discs, a lot of the newer dvd players will play both -r and +r, best to get -r discs as you are covered for all players then, make sure you get discs with the ritek dye, never had a problem with any ritek disc.

Get "DVD Santa" it is able to encode upto 5 hours or so of video on one DVD.

Its not free though, so get on the Torrents.

If the dvd your burning is more than 4.7bg , Clonedvd2 rips , shrinks and burns all in one , takes out unwanted foreign languages , subtitles etc ..... , job done . Or dvd santa .

DVD Shrink is readily available and does the same job , and its free .

Winavi video convertor to convert from avi back to dvd .

Nero if the dvd to burn is less than 4.7gb .

Anydvd or Region free dvd removes copy protection and makes your dvd drive region free so it doesn't lock to the region of the 5th dvd you play .Both work in conjunction with the above burning software .

As Dink says " ritek " discs are the best go5 dye , deep purple in colour , buy cheap n nasty discs prepare yourself for coasters , lol .
