Bonnet sensor

With the ignition on and the bonnet open should the "doors open" light on the dash illuminate as it would with the doors or boot being open?

(Trying to find out if the bonnet sensor is faulty)

Just tested mine for you and mine doesn't show as a door open if the bonnet is.

Thanks for checking that, does anyone know of another way to check if the bonnet sensor is working correctly ?

Get someone to hold the sensor down and lock the car...then release the sensor and if it works it should set the alarm off I think.

Alarm should beep if you lock it with the bonnet up, most Clios don't have an alarm fitted and don't have a bonnet sensor though as its only for the alarm. You sure you've got one fitted?
