It's my birthday coming up, I was thinking a blueray player would be a good call.

looks good, but all I'm really interested in is picture and sound quality, there's so many features that would be wasted on me tbh, the sony is 165 with a 5 yr warantee, sounds good

I'm happy with my 360, and the Sony blu ray is a little better than the Ps3 anyway


Bro just got back from richer sounds after buying it, recons it's an extra tenner for multi region?! Didn'y say that on the website. Nevermind, went with the 5 year warantee!

For the other £200 I'd have a PS3 and a nice collection of games, or the S350 and a collection of BD's.

I'd be gutted if I'd spent out on a profile 1.0/1.1 first gen player these days!

b****cks, absolute b****cks, how can you say that, have you seen comparisons between different players including the ps3 on the same tv in real life, i thought not.

The PS3 is a high quality player, it plays and decodes all the different HD sound formats and has all the same features as the top of the range players, how can they possibly be far far better?

A fraction better, maybe, but far far is like the difference between dvd and bluray, thats a far far better difference!

And speed is important, some players are boringly slow, they areally are, waiting several minutes just to load a disc is sooo wrong.

My PS3 plays better quality than my tv can handle anyway, so its my tv which is the weakest part of my setup!

The sony 350 is pretty unbeatable for the money imo, the PS3 is fuvking useless as far as i'm concerned as it will not bitstream undecoded hd audio out and the VQ certainly isn't as good from personal experience of both.
