Blast from the past Nova red top on Ebay

When I started my apprenticeship back in 1999 one of the older apprentices was building a nova with a red top engine which at the time was the in thing. Everything on the car was done once twice, three times so obsessed with perfection. Ten years since I seen him last,I happen to stumble upon it on Ebay looking like it was never driven on the road such a shame. Now it looks dated but I still appreciate the amount of work that went into it and hope it ends up getting used as it deserves.

Looks in great condition considering it's been sitting so long. Styling is a bit dated now, but I bet it's still a nippy little motor. I went in one a few years ago, surprisingly quick cars.

Very quick cars, dangerously quick if the owner started out with a boggo 1 lite and did nothing with the brakes.

The red top engine would easily see 200bhp with a few simple mods, stick that in a 700kg car and it's a flying machine.

If I were to spend £7k on a Nova, I'd at least expect it to look nice! I still like them if they look right, but that ones horrible!

If that looked like a normal SR but a bit low, it would look amazing.

Red-tops have a special place in most 30/40 year old petrol head hearts I suppose.
