best way to de texture interior plastics

Sanding and a few thick coats of high build primer

I personally like the textured interior trim above the dash I just sprayed over it. But yeah go from low grade sanding to higher grade gradually untill you go to wet or dry paper get it to a smooth finish, give it a base coat of primer leave it to dry for a day or so prime again. Once fully dry sand down with very fine paper to get off the imperfections then give it a few light coats of base coat to build it up leave to dry. Then add your lacquer.
