Best mk1 -55/-50mm lower springs (non 16v)

As above, what springs give the greatest drop for the non-16vs?

I'm tempted by coilovers but don't know if i can justify the cost TBH...if i can get a decent drop with just springs i'd do that...i have 16v springs are on atm but it's not down low enough so just need a wee bit more!

Anyone got pics of how the front wheels will sit in the arch/bumper clearance?

i used Gmax springs and shocks on my RT, will try and dig out some pics for you.. was very impressed with the drop!

That looks pretty good...have you got any of the front arch so i can judge against what i've got atm?

55mm on PI Springs. They are ok, but I think in the future I would spend the extra on shocks (or coilovers) as well because the ride is a bit bumpy. No roll now and it does look better, but the ride quality has suffered.

45 Profile Tyre as well btw, which I would suggest, as there is no scrubbing or anything with load in the car or on full lock.
