Basic question.

  ST170
Ok, I have a 182 but want to change the standard CD player. If I swap it, will the controls on the steering wheel work on the new one?

Cheers

I believe you can buy additional leads or connectors for this but i'm in the same situation. The unit I have does not work with the controls on the wheel. Not sure what sort of job it is to remedy the situation.

Yeah you need 2 different bits to do make it work, I'm sorry I don't know what exactly my other half sorted mine out for me ;)

I'm sure someone else will be much more helpful...

Easy job, will cost about £40 in leads though.

Assuming these are for Clios you need one of these http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/29652-steeringstalk-control-adaptor-p-3474.html.

Then you need a stereo manufacturer specific part to go with it, like this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/incartec-pioneer-adaptor-p-3489.html

If you have a later Clio 182 which has a different stereo then it costs a whole lot more, the adapter is about £90 iirc. (oh dear... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/29800-steeringstalk-control-adaptor-p-5805.html)

Fitting is easy, pop your current stereo out, little yellow connector from the display plugs into the harness you buy and then it just sits in line with the stereo and other ISO connectors (think you only actually plug one ISO block out o fthe 2 into it though, can't remember).

Hope that helps :)
