Bare engine swap

Hi guys,

my engine in my 2001 Clio 172 is fooked, now i ca get my hands on a 182 engine. Is it possible to change only the bare engine without changing ECU etc?

Yep, no issues at all.

You'll need to swap the breather plates on top of the engine if you're putting a 182 engine in a 172, but that takes 30 seconds.

I wouldn't bother, I'd keep the 172 inlet and 182 strainer plate and do away with the carbon canister.
