Aux input cable ran through glove box?

Only just got a Clio MK3 Extreme 1.2 a couple of days ago for my first car and I'm looking to run an Aux cable through the back of the radio system I already have and seen that others have ran the lead through the glove box or through the passenger side. Just wanted to ask if there's anything I'd have to remove other than the head unit to do so? As I know there's a small gap where I fit the cable through but apart from that I have no clue where it'll end up or how it goes through to the glove box, sorry for such a nooby question.
