Ok so I am gonna replace my doorcard speakers with something a bit more powerful. So four of these are going in. Will I need an amp to power these or will an upgraded headunit be ok?

Obviously amping would be best. But get some components if your going down the amp route.

But even without amping they'll sound better anyway yea.

You should get around the same volume level as the stock speakers.

Why components if your amping? Makes no difference if ur using coaxials (which actually work better if fitted properly in a clio) or components

More powerful speaker?? a speaker that will handle more power u mean.
If u want an increase in volume then u need to supply the speaker with more power.

I recommended components because if he's going down the amping route, the money you'd would be spending you might as well go the full distance and get components. Or unplug the tweeters if just upgrading to coaxials in the doors.
