Aston Martin Swirl Problem

  TrackCar & F30 330d
I have the Megs G220 and Sonius package, so the yellow, white, and red pads with the liquids.
I also have the Meguiar's Swirl Remover 2.0 (#9) and the Meguiar's Soft Buff 2.0 7" Foam Cutting Pad

My old mans DB7 GT is swirled all over and i have used the above but the swirls just wont come out. I did the same stuff on his black Focus ST and worked fine.

JD, didnt you do a DB7 a while ago? did you have any problems?

Or is it that the products dont suit the paint hardness?

Car needs to be done before we head to Le Mans, can any one shed some wisdom

Thanks

Chris

Never used the Sonus polishes much but didn't rate them

Aston paint isn't the hardest but it can put up a fight, the megs stuff is just filler heavy so ignore that!

I would use the coarsest sonus polish with the cutting pad and work it for longer at slower speeds to maximise cutting power - apply a fair bit of pressure - if it doesn't work a rotary may be your next step!

I highly doubt your DA will even touch the paint let alone remove any defects.

The only way is to use a rotary polisher, because the paint is that hard.
