Hi all. I you have an Alpine 9857 Head Unit, please post pics as I would like to see what it looks like in a 172mk2/182

i got alpine, but not that model fits in nicely, once you push all the wires out the way

Had a 9857 in my old Smart, not a bad HU. Good sound quality and decent amp for a built in jobbie.

You can just about see it there... looks pretty good.

I prefer the blue illumination, but it looks a bit odd at night, where the red one suits it better.

It's a bit of a bugger to fit though, too much wiring in too small a space!

In the grand scheme of things, it'll look effectively the same in the car. I went for the one without the red trim on the buttons because I thought it looked too fussy with those details...
